Long Eaton Carnival 2008

Mid Summer Madness
Mid Summer Madness was the theme of this years Long Eaton Carnival, and again LESAC took up the challenge. Despite a very wet and grey day it was a great success for the club.

The float looked really good, and being third in the procession meant we had maximum exposure.

Our theme was simple, dive kit and creatures. The inflatable sea beasties looked good, the divers on the boat were pretty pleased they were suited up, and the compulsory water cannons played their usuall part.

With no spectators to attack, civil war broke out on the boat, and Andy took full force of Angi's water cannon whilst Colin and Neil cheered her on.

The display on the field worked really well also, and we were very well positioned again giving us maximum exposure.

It was a little slow to start, very few people came onto the field until the floats arrived, then we got quite busy for a while. There were quite alot of us around, and a few times we were all talking to interested parties. We have a few people signed up for try dives, and a few qualified divers wanting to come and dive with us. Some people just did not want to leave.

We were complemented on the professionalism of our display and float, and we were asked to bring our display and boats to other events.

Lee's Landy also got a bit of interest, it even made the course, though we think it did use a few gallons to do the 3-4 miles, of oil that is.

Lee still smilling, even though he was soaked through.
Overall a great success, many thanks to all that took part.
We can arrange try dives for Monday evenings, so if you feel like trying diving, please give us a call on 0845 054 5075, or email us via the Contact Us page.
